Who we are
Hyperion is a market research email service operated by SumLogLabs ("Hyperion," "SumLogLabs," "we," "us"). You can reach us at sumloglabs@gmail.com with any privacy question or request. This policy covers the Hyperion pages at sumloglabs.com/hyperion and the emails we send.
Information we collect
- Email address, when you sign up for the free research email or start a paid subscription.
- Subscription and billing data for paid members. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive your subscription status and limited customer details from Stripe and never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data created automatically when you use the site or open an email, such as IP address, browser type, and delivery and open events. Our anti-abuse provider (Cloudflare Turnstile) processes a token and limited device signals to tell humans from bots.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information or brokerage account details.
How we use it
- To send the research email and, for paid members, the real-time signal emails.
- To confirm your signup (double opt-in) and to manage your subscription and billing.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service, including preventing spam, fraud, and abuse.
- To respond to your messages and meet legal obligations.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on your consent (which you give by confirming your email and which you can withdraw anytime), on performance of a contract (to provide a paid subscription), and on our legitimate interests (to run and secure the service).
Service providers
We share limited data only with vendors that help us run the service, under their own terms:
- Stripe, payment processing and subscription management.
- Resend, sending the research and account emails.
- Cloudflare, bot and abuse protection on our forms.
- Fly.io, hosting the site and the service backend.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Email and your choices
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Paid members can manage or cancel a subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal linked in their emails. You can also email us to unsubscribe or to delete your data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email sumloglabs@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Data retention
We keep your email and subscription records for as long as you are subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and anti-abuse needs, then we delete or anonymize them.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
We operate in the United States, and our providers may process data there and in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Children
The service is for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date above and, for material changes, give notice by email or on this page.
